Welcome to SHINE! KidMin

This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine.

At SHINE! KidMin, our Elementary school kids will learn to let their lights shine for Jesus. On Sunday mornings we use the 252 Kids curriculum by Orange to teach our kids what it means to grow in three key ways
  1. In wisdom: making good, Godly choices
  2. In stature: good physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health
  3. In our relationships with God and people

Below you can find an overview of what we are learning this month during Sunday school!

On Wednesday nights our Children’s activities are called G.L.O.W. or Go Light Our World. During this time, our goal is to teach kids how they can share the light of Christ with the world through music and as we continue our weekly Bible lessons.

This month our SHINE! Kids are talking about the connection between COMMITMENT and God’s character, as shown through God’s Big Story, the Bible.

Commitment is part of God’s nature and how God interacts with us, keeping promises and putting plans into action. God’s commitment to us is just one of the many reasons we can trust God no matter what. And because God’s promises and plans came true in Jesus, we can be with God forever. We reflect God’s character when we make a plan and stick to it. This month, we’ll help kids discover that one of the best plans they can make is to commit to an ongoing
relationship with Jesus. We hope they commit to practicing their faith by reading God’s Word, praying to God honestly and consistently, talking about God with others, and living for God in how they show love throughout the everyday.
During the month of May we will be looking at these stories from the Bible:
  • God’s Word is a Light – Psalm 119:105 – Practice hearing from God.
  • The Lord’s PrayerMatthew 6:9-13 – Practice praying to God.
  • Peter Says That Jesus is the Messiah – Matthew 16:13-20 – Practice talking about God.
  • The Widow’s Offering – Mark 12:41-44 – Practice living for God.
