This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine.
 
At SHINE! KidMin, our Elementary school kids will learn to let their lights shine for Jesus. On Sunday mornings we use the 252 Kids curriculum by Orange to teach our kids what it means to grow in three key ways
  1. In wisdom: making good, Godly choices
  2. In stature: good physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health
  3. In our relationships with God and people
 
Below you can find an overview of what we are learning this month during Sunday school!
 
On Wednesday nights our Children’s activities are called G.L.O.W. or Go Light Our World. During this time, our goal is to teach kids how they can share the light of Christ with the world through music and as we continue our weekly Bible lessons.

It’s May, and we’re nearing the end of God’s Big Story as we travel through the Bible in a year. But this month holds two incredible truths for kids in your ministry. First of all, we are, right now, living in God’s Big Story—the time between when Jesus returned to heaven, and when He will come back to earth again. And that’s the second amazing truth: that in the end, God will make everything right! It’s a great time for kids to discover how we can follow in the footsteps of Peter and Paul and many others to share the Good News of Jesus. And no matter what challenges we face, we can always rely on the Holy Spirit to help.
 
During the month of May, we will be continuing our journey through God’s Big Story with these lessons:
  • Peter and John are Taken to the Sanhedrin – Acts 3—4:22 – Keep going because of what God has done.
  • Philip and the Man From Ethiopia– Acts 8:26-40 – Keep following God, even when you have questions.
  • Paul Becomes a Believer / Ananias Helps Paul – Acts 9:1-31 – God can help you see things in a new way.
  • Paul Shipwrecked – Acts 27–28:10 – Don’t give up on God when bad things happen.
  • Heaven – Revelation 21:3-5 – God will make everything right in the end.
