This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine.
At SHINE! KidMin, our Elementary school kids will learn to let their lights shine for Jesus. On Sunday mornings we use the 252 Kids curriculum by Orange to teach our kids what it means to grow in three key ways
- In wisdom: making good, Godly choices
- In stature: good physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health
- In our relationships with God and people
Below you can find an overview of what we are learning this month during Sunday school!
On Wednesday nights our Children’s activities are called G.L.O.W. or Go Light Our World. During this time, our goal is to teach kids how they can share the light of Christ with the world through music and as we continue our weekly Bible lessons.

Welcome to summer! We’re so excited to dive into Kingdom Quest, a two-month series on the parables of Jesus. Our brains are hard-wired to understand the world in terms of story, so when Jesus told stories, He gave His followers a chance to wrestle with deep truths. He challenged them to discover how those truths could apply to their daily lives. Through many of these parables, Jesus painted a picture of what God’s kingdom is like and how each one of us can pursue and be a part of it.
During the month of June, we will teach these lessons about God’s kingdom:
- The Stories of the Mustard Seed and the Yeast – Mt. 13:31-34 – Jesus shows us God’s kingdom.
- The Story of the Lost Sheep– Lk. 15:1-7; 1 Tim. 1:15 – Jesus made a way for you to be a part of God’s Kingdom.
- The Story of the Lost Son -Lk. 15:11-32 – God wants everyone to be part of His kingdom.
- The Stories of the Hidden Treasure and the Pearl – Acts 27–28:10 – Don’t give up on God when bad things happen.
