This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine.
At SHINE! KidMin, our Elementary school kids will learn to let their lights shine for Jesus. On Sunday mornings we use the 252 Kids curriculum by Orange to teach our kids what it means to grow in three key ways
- In wisdom: making good, Godly choices
- In stature: good physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health
- In our relationships with God and people
Below you can find an overview of what we are learning this month during Sunday school!
On Wednesday nights our Children’s activities are called G.L.O.W. or Go Light Our World. During this time, our goal is to teach kids how they can share the light of Christ with the world through music and as we continue our weekly Bible lessons.
Sunday Mornings

9:55 – Gather for Big Group
10:25 – Return to Small Groups
10:45 – Dismiss to Worship
Wednesday Nights
5:30 – Dinner
6:00-7:30 – G.L.OW.
This month our SHINE! Kids are talking about the connection between HOPE and God’s character, as shown through God’s Big Story, the Bible.
Life can be complicated. In fact, Jesus told His disciples that we would have trouble in this world (John 16:33b). Sometimes, we may not understand why something happens the way it does. Yet, in spite of the things that go wrong or the things we don’t understand, we can have hope that God knows what’s best and is working for our good. Because of that, we can trust God no matter what as we begin to explore why the story of Jesus is good news for everyone.
During the month of APRIL we will be looking at these lessons from the Bible:
- Keep Looking to Jesus – Hebrews 12:1-3 – Whatever happens, keep looking to Jesus.
- Palm Sunday– John 12:12-16 – Whatever happens, remember God is still working.
- Crucifixion and Resurrection – John 18-20:1-18; 1 Peter 1:3 – Whatever happens, remember Jesus is alive.
- Jesus Appears to Thomas – John 20:19-29 – Whatever happens, remember God is bigger than your questions.
